Webthe practice led her to start researching art in prison, resulting in this exhibition, which includes paintings, photography, sculptures and more. Web“images from behind prison walls” featured 60 paintings, drawings and sketches from inmates all over new york state, offering a rare and at times. Webwhile some of the pieces featured in the show contain blatant references to or reflections of jailhouse life—like gang insignia or the view from a cell—others are. Weborganized by robin paris and tom williams, both professors at nashville’s watkins college of art, design & film, the show features over 30 works by a dozen. — a unique gallery is showcasing the artistic ability of inmates.
